Terms of Service
Pet Scoopers | Effective Date: June 13, 2026
- Agreement
By scheduling or receiving service from Pet Scoopers, you agree to these Terms of Service. You must be 18 years of age or older to sign up for service. - Service Area
We serve Fremont, Hayward, Union City, Newark, Castro Valley, Alameda, San Leandro, and San Lorenzo, California. - Service Hours
Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm. We observe standard federal holidays and typically reschedule affected visits to the Saturday or Sunday of that same week. - Scheduling and Access
Customers do not need to be home during service. You will receive three text notifications: one the day before, one at 7am the morning of service, and one when our team is on the way. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure gate and yard access is safe, unlocked, and unobstructed on the scheduled service day.
If our team arrives and cannot access the yard — including a locked gate — after attempting to reach you by text, the full service fee will be charged for that visit.
Gate codes and access information provided by customers are stored securely in our internal system and accessed only by Pet Scoopers employees for service purposes.
- Yard Conditions
To perform thorough and effective service, we require that lawns be regularly mowed and weeds kept under control. Overgrown grass or dense weeds prevent us from locating all waste and completing the job properly.
If we encounter hazardous conditions in or around the yard — including but not limited to wasp or bee nests, standing water, dangerous debris, or any condition that poses a risk to our team — we will text you immediately and may be unable to complete that visit. We will work with you to reschedule when conditions are safe.
- Dogs
Dogs must be kept inside during service visits. If our team has previously met your dog and both parties are comfortable, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
If we observe anything in your pet’s waste that suggests possible illness or parasites, we will notify you by text as a courtesy health check. We are not veterinarians and this does not constitute medical advice.
- Payment
Pet Scoopers operates on a subscription model. Service is billed on the first of each month and entitles you to scheduled service for that month going forward. A valid card on file is required before any service begins.
If a card is declined, you will be notified and asked to submit a new payment method. Service will be suspended until payment is resolved.
- Initial Cleanup Fee
Yards that have not been regularly maintained may require an initial cleanup visit, which is subject to an additional fee. This will be discussed and agreed upon before service begins. - Cancellation
There are no contracts. Either party may cancel service at any time. Customers must provide at least 48 hours written notice — by text or email — before their next scheduled visit. Pet Scoopers reserves the right to cancel or decline service at any time, for any reason, with a prorated refund issued for any unused prepaid service. - Price Changes
We will notify all customers of any price changes at least one week in advance. Price changes take effect on the first of the following month. - Photography and Marketing
By receiving service, you grant Pet Scoopers permission to photograph your yard before and after service and to use those images for marketing purposes, including on our website and social media. No identifying personal information will be included. - Liability
Pet Scoopers carries $1,000,000 in general liability insurance. We take reasonable care on every job. Pet Scoopers is not responsible for pre-existing damage to yards, gates, or property. Nothing in these Terms limits either party’s right to pursue legal remedies available under California law. - Communication
Our primary method of communication is text message through our service management system. By signing up for service, you consent to receive text notifications related to your account and scheduled visits. - Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. - Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
